Another Shape Book

I made this shapebook for my mom and called it "Fun at Grandma's."  It is for her to put pictures of my son spending time at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  I used Bug Junkie's idea for the 3D window and designed one for myself.  I did the whole book in design studio.  Carts used include: SYI, FMK, Christmas, EDPD, MC, DC, WW, ACY, OA, SB, and probably some others that I'm forgetting.  Papers were Bo Bunny Kitchen Spice and a few others from my stash.  I'm excited that I got to use my new i-Top brad maker for the centers of the flowers.  It is so much fun!  Hope you like!

I've posted this Halloween shapebook before, but I have since finished the inside of the album and filled it with pictures from my baby's first Halloween, so I thought I'd share these photos.

Jacoby's 1st Halloween shapebook

So, it's not finished yet.... still need to add photo mats and embellies to each page, but here's what I have so far.  I loved watching BugJunkie's videos on shapebooks.   She made it look so easy, and once I tried it, it really was!!!  Thank you to Lisa for those videos!!  If you haven't seen them, go to her blog... http://bugjunkie.blogspot.com/  So this is my take on the Halloween shapebook for my baby's first Halloween.  Click on the picture to enlarge.

I used DJ for "Jacoby's 1st Halloween" and PDDU for all of the shapes.  The paper is K & Co. all seasons pack.  For some reason, DS didn't cut out faces on any of the critters, so I added googly eyes and white and black gel pens to draw faces.  I put glossy accents on the spiderweb and cuttlebugged other shapes with swiss dots, divine swirls, tiny bubbles, distressed stripes, and paisley.  On the front page, I added some diecuts from Recollections.  I'll add more pics when I finish.  Let me know what you think so far.  TFL!!

My first wordbook!!!

I made this wordbook for my niece, Elaina's, first birthday.  I've been working on my baby boy's scrapbook, so it was fun to get to do something bright and girly!  I started this before BugJunkie did her videos on shapebooks and without DS.  Oh, I wish I had seen those videos first... oh well.  I think it turned out alright anyway.  I used a bunch of random papers along with papers from Imaginisce Twitterpated collection... so cute!!  The letters are from SB and I cuttlebugged them with Swiss Dots and Divine Swirls and added some ribbon.

"You're Tweet" is Alphalicious, the birdie is from HEA, and I made the mushroom using part of the ladybug and a vase from WIMG.  I saw someone else on the Cricut MB did this, so I can't take credit.  I can't remember who it was, though.

The sun is from DC and the butterfly is WIMG.  I added a cotton ball for the cloud.

Branch is ZB, owl is HEA, and marquee is SB.  The stamps say "Hoo Hoo Hoo who loves you?"  "I do that's who."

AMU for "Sweet girl", TBBM for tag

This is my favorite page.  The tree is from EDPD- cut twice, inked, added primas, and cuttlebugged.  I used my craft knife and cut out a bunch of the little critters from the Twitterpated paper.  I added glossy accents to the mushrooms and eyes of the critters.

Squirrel is HEA, inked and glossy accents on the eyes.  Acorns are from M&F.  "NUTS about you" from OA.

"Bugs and Kisses"... title from DJ.  Bugs and leaves- WIMG.  That's all folks!!

Baby Book LOs!!!

I've already made a ton of LOs for my baby boy's scrapbook, but I still have a ton MORE to do!!  I think this is going to end up being a 3-volume baby book!!  But, I'm having fun.  I only have one more month at home with Jacoby before I go back to work, which makes me sad, but I was very blessed to get to spend almost 6 months at home with him.  Luckily, I'm a teacher, and I get to look forward to a 2 week Christmas break, a Spring Break, and summer vacation!!  Ok, so back to the LO....  I used MM for the stitched circle in the background and for the photo frames.  For the title, I used DJ and LL.  So glad that I got DJ with my reward points-- I think it's my new favorite font!  The two little bugs that you can barely see are from DC.  The paper is K & Co.

This is a 2 pager for Jacoby's 1st baseball game.  The first one is very simple because I love the background paper of the baseball field, which is from the K & Co. Rough and Tumble stack.  I used EDPD for the little guy and the bats that became the L's.  The photo mat is from K & Co. Hopscotch.  The 2nd lo doesn't have any cricut, but I used some K & Co. baseball stickers and the MS loop edge punch.

Jacoby's first bottle... K & Co. baby boy papers again... I used NA for the big bottle cut at 11 1/2".  I cuttlebugged the rim of the bottle with the swiss dots folder.  The title was done with OA, and that's all.  I wanted to keep it simple because I liked the background paper so much.

Jacoby's first holiday was the 4th of July.  I used Stand and Salute for the fireworks, sparklers. tag, and "pursuit of happiness".  "First Holiday" was from OA and the little boy on the rocket is from ACY.

New cards :)

This picture isn't very good, but I used EDPD and Stamped for this card.  It was for my best friend's dad, who is also my pastor, for his b-day.  I love this little fisherman!

This card was for my niece's 8th b-day.  I used EDPD for the cute little girl, celebrations, and WC.  I love this paper and used it on several cards.

Here's that paper again.  I think I used BB for the sentiment.  I guess I didn't take a picture of the inside... oh, well.  This was for a co-worker who has been really struggling recently with her breast cancer.  I love that stitched look that so many use, but I don't have a sewing machine.  I found these stamps a couple weeks ago at HL that make it look like I stitched on my card.  I think a mini sewing machine is going on my Christmas list, but in the meantime, these work great!

New Cards and Layouts

I finished my Hello Kitty card tin that I made for my secret sister at church.  Here are some pictures.  After I took these pics, I added more ribbon so that the handle of the tin was completely covered.  I used Hello Kitty Greetings.
Then, I made a birthday card for my MIL.  I used the owl from HEA, marquee from SB, "happy birthday" from ACY, and the threading water punch.  The inside is a stamp that says "I hope it's a hoot!".
I've made several layouts in the last week and thought I'd just post them all together.  The first one is of Jacoby's first bath.  I used Pooh Font for baby Tigger and Pooh.  "Bath" was done using Sesame Street Font (sunny day) and "first" was just chipboard letters.
When I saw the sleeping baby Pooh on the PF cart, I knew which picture I'd have to put with it.  Sometimes when Jacoby naps during the day, I lay him on his tummy because he stays asleep better that way.  When he sleeps like that, he brings his little bum up in the air... so cute!  I thought he and Pooh looked alike here.  :)  I used the same carts as the earlier LO and also a vellum quote from K & Co.
This next layout doesn't have much Cricut, but I thought these stickers from my aunt matched these pics perfectly!  "Little" and "blue" are ACY and "BOY" is from OA.  The rest are stickers.  I LOVE Jacoby in this little hat!
This one again is almost all stickers.  My aunt got them for me and I thought they were sooooooo cute!  "THING" is the only Cricut and it's from MF.  I added stickles to the letters.  Jacoby has the most pathetic face in these pictures!  :)
I just finished this final LO this morning.  The grass, vines, and monkeys are all from ZB.  "Monkey Business" is a DCWV sticker.  TFL!!
